Graduated in Law at the Comillas Pontifical University, she also holds a Degree in Business Studies from the same university.

Carmen developed her career at Deloitte Legal and Araoz y Rueda Abogados, where she gained extensive expertise in providing legal advice on mergers, acquisitions and divestments; in processes of acquisition and sale of shares or assets through management buy outs (MBO) and leveraged buy outs (LBO); due diligence processes (including their coordination at international level); partner agreements, joint ventures and business group restructuring.

This background, acquired with clients from several different countries, is enriched by the diversity of sectors with which she has collaborated (financial, health, telecommunications, real estate, transport, industrial, etc.), providing legal support in corporate and company governance matters as well as, in many cases, being appointed as secretary of the Board of Directors.
